LA BOWL has been recognised at the first Armed Forces Business Awards.
The bowling company, based in Winwick Quay, was nominated by Lieutenant Laura Alldritt who works there as a supervisor alongside a role as a Reservist with 156 Transport Regiment.
The Support to Reservists on Annual Training award was officially presented at a ceremony at the Imperial War Museum North, in Salford.
In her nomination, Laura said: “Through their support I have been able to commit to up to 90 days a year training – well above the 27 minimum required for the role I have in the Army Reserve.”
Meanwhile, Kerry Southgate, an LA bowl manager, praised the leadership, attitude and dedication of Laura.
She said: “Laura’s attitude has rubbed off on many of the staff members and anything we have been able to do to support her we have done.
“We think it’s important. We’re really happy that Laura felt she could nominate us and very proud too.”
