A STRETTON based business has travelled to the Far East on a trade mission.
Deemak International Limited, based on Acres Field, joined the multi sector trade mission to Malaysia and Singapore organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) in association with BAE Systems.
The trade mission, which takes place this weel, coincides with the SMIDEX 2014 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Deemak is a global food sourcing company which helps UK food companies stay competitive by outsourcing some of their products in lower cost parts of the world.
Managing director Chris Harrison said: “We are delighted join the multi sector trade mission to Malaysia organised by UKTI in association with BAE Systems.
“Deemak has been working in the Far East for more than 10 years.
“My first venture in to the Far East was on a UKTI Trade Mission to Thailand in 2001, today Deemak have office in Bangkok covering the Asia-Pacific region.
“Joining the Trade Mission is the perfect opportunity to explore the business opportunities Malaysia has to offer.”
