A THELWALL woman has received a top business award from a prominent women’s group.

Vicky Matthews, aged 42, was presented with the business of the year prize for her personal assistant company Pink Spaghetti.

She received the recognition along with business partner Caroline Gowing at the Network She Foundation Awards on International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8.

The two friends set up Pink Spaghetti in 2009 to provide personal assistant services to small businesses. In 2012 they franchised their company and are now operating in six locations across the UK. Clients are mainly micro-businesses and most are female run.

Ruth Lloyd-Williams, from Network She, said: “Pink Spaghetti have an exemplary record of generating new business, have added new franchisees each year and have a solid pipeline in place for 2015.”

Vicky said: “We really welcome this recognition from Network She for all the hard work Caroline and I have put in to Pink Spaghetti. Women-in-business awards such as this acknowledge the sacrifices and constant juggling involved in bringing up a family while running a company.”

Pink Spaghetti was named after Vicky and Caroline’s nine-year-old daughter’s mutual love of eating spaghetti and the colour pink.
