ATKINS, a design and engineering company, is looking for six young people to join its apprenticeship programme in Warrington.
The placements are available in the company’s designs and engineering, energy and highways and transportation businesses.
Jordan Brien joined Atkins as a trainee technician in 2013 working in the highways and transportation division from their Birchwood base.
He said: “The best part about being an apprentice is having the ability to study in college part time and also be in work building relationships with experienced engineers in my team.”
Jordan also offered some words of encouragement to those young people who are thinking about doing an apprenticeship: “I’d say to anyone before applying for an apprenticeship, always research the company and make sure it’s something you commit to long term.”
