Transport cash to be pumped into Daresbury

MORE than £4.5m will be spent on improving the M56 junction at Daresbury, it has been confirmed.

The work, set for 2014, will see new traffic lights installed, overbridges widened and the westbound exit widened.

Highways chiefs say the investment will be needed to support the growth of the Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus.

wow of all the motorway junctions in the world this is the quietest, easiest to navigate, non problematic motorway junction I have ever used.

what do they say "if it isnt broke dont fix it"............?

or is it more likely "if there's money in the pot then we may as well spend it otherwise next years budget will get reduced".....?

Nothing wrong at Daresbury, Its quiet, No need to waste good money where it isnt needed, Its one of the easiest junctions I have used, Maybe thats the problem ? it isnt complicated enough..

What, there's no need.

Its a low use junction.

spend it elsewhere that needs it like Juct 9 M62

I agree with all the above.
This will turn out like the fiasco at Warrington Bridge Foot "IMPROVEMENTS" to trffic flow. There is no major disruption at this junction. Only IDIOTS coming off the M56 from Chester/Runcorn sliproad in the Daresbury Park Lane changing to the A56 and changing lanes thinking they are right!!
