Town to use new park equipment

TOP of the range fitness equipment is now being used by Warrington Town FC players at the Orford Park Jubilee Hub.

The £30m training facility features the BodPod, a state of the art machine that measures body composition in 10 minutes.

Students from Warrington Collegiate will also have work opportunities there.

Gary Skentelbery, chairman, said: “The new fitness testing equipment will help us monitor the condition of our players and compliments the fantastic facilities we have at our disposal.

“We look forward to developing the partnership and working closely with the Collegiate, ensuring we have the fittest players in the league, while at the same time providing work experience opportunities for students.

"It is another piece in the jigsaw at helping move the football club up the league pyramid with the ultimate goal of delivering of a football league club to the town of Warrington in the future."

I hope they'll be allowed to use the swings and stuff too. Otherwise there doesn't seem much point.

Is this the same as the equipemnt used in the members gym ?

They will be lucky to get on a piece of kit, it is ludicrous how busy the gym gets and yet there are people still being inducted, surely they can see how little chance they have of getting on a machine.

I used to use the gym at fordton and funnily enough as it was cold and crappy not many others use dit, suddenly, its all shiny and new and all of warrington wants ot use it.

pure gym here i come i think....
