THE annual Regimental Sunday parade took place in Warrington last weekend.

The traditional gathering, which has taken place for the past 65 years, sees the borough’s infantry regiment march through the town after a service at St Elphin’s Church.

Jointly hosted by Warrington Borough Council and the former Queen’s Lancashire Regiment veterans, it is attended by more than 20 civic guests from across the historic county of Lancashire.

Crowds lined the streets as veterans and members from the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment marched up and down Church Street in the town.

Mayor Clr Steve Wright was guest at Sunday’s parade.
