PARENTS opposed to cuts to school transport are planning a protest at the Town Hall.

Members of the Say No campaign will host a picnic outside of the Town Hall on Monday at 6pm.

Warrington Borough Council will be holding a meeting of its executive board at 6.30pm to make a decision on the cuts.

It is proposing to axe all discretionary transport in the town.

If passed it means free transport for up to 1,206 children will be stopped.

Residents are invited to take part in the demonstration.

Anyone wishing to do so is encouraged to take food and suitable clothing.

It will run until 7.30pm.
