ST ROCCO’S Hospice is asking fundraisers to channel St Nicholas in its latest fundraising attempt.

The Lockton Lane hospice will be holding its first Santa Dash on Sunday, December 2 at Orford Jubilee Park.

It is a 5k run for everyone and families, friends and colleagues are being encouraged to sign up for the run.

Golden Gates Housing Trust is the first organisation to sign up and is hoping to get 60 runners.

Chief executive Peter Mercer said: “Golden Gates Housing Trust is delighted to be the first team to enter the St Rocco’s Santa dash.”

Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for children and the price includes a free Santa suit for adults and a hat or reindeer antlers for children.

Anybody who enters before November 5 will go in a draw to win a giant teddy donated by Warrington Wolves player James Laithwaite.
