FM boys are back in town
9:41am Thursday 4th October 2012 in News
THE town’s community radio station Radio Warrington will run another FM broadcast next month.
Following a successful trial in the summer, that station will be back on 87.8FM from November 12 to December 9.
Run and staffed entirely by unpaid local volunteers and will broadcast from studios inside Warrington Market and Cinnamon Brow Farm Community Centre.
Steve Lewis, station manager, said ”We received a lot of positive feedback from our last FM broadcast in July.
“Although we are available all year round on the internet, being on FM makes us so much more available to the community that we wish to serve. The radio signal is restricted to a 5km radius but that is enough for us to reach most of Warrington.”
This broadcast is being funded by Warrington Borough Council as part of the It’s All Going On In Warrington campaign.
The broadcast will include the Christmas Lights Switch-on and the Christmas Markets.
