A SENIOR staff member at the Warrington Disability Partnership is leaving after eight years at the charity.
Jayne Horton, chief officer, joined in April 2004 as volunteer coordinator working with volunteers to develop their skills.
She helped transform the Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort Street following a successful lottery bid, while she has helped develop WDP into an organisation with 40 paid staff and 200 volunteers that turns over more than £1million annually.
Sue Bentley, trustee, said: ‘Jayne gave 100 per cent of herself to WDP as her charity of choice and has a passion for making a charity work.
“She gave a lot of her free time for WDP for more than 8 years and helped to raise many thousands of pounds with the efforts of both her and her husband and sons.
“Her ability to untangle complicated projects into a sensible set of processes and communicate that to her team was outstanding.
“We wish her well in her future career.”
