Howley man charged with robbery

A 27-year-old man has been charged with a raft of offences after two incidents in Orford on Saturday.

Ryan Jarvis, of Willis Street, Howley, was arrested yesterday and remanded in custody.

He has now been charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article in a public place, aggravated vehicle taking and intimidating a witness.

The charges relate to incidents on Saturday in Mortimer Avenue and Battersby Lane, both in Orford.

Jarvis is due to appear at Halton Magistrate’s Court today.

Knife crime is on the increase due to lax or none existant sentencing laws, Other countries dish out five year sentences for this type of crime but here they get community service, These vermin want putting away for a long time...
