A MEETING for the Lewis Carroll Society takes place on Saturday at the Daresbury Park Hotel.

June Lancelyn Green MBE will be the guest speaker at the event which begins at 2pm.

Her late husband Roger wrote books on King Arthur, Robin Hood and Ancient Greece, while he was also a biographer for Lewis Carroll.

Meanwhile, the Dodo Club, the society’s junior branch, has closed after more than 20 years due to a lack of members.

Myra Fye, who produced the Dodo magazine, said: “It was great fun while it lasted and I truly enjoyed helping to keep Lewis Carroll’s name alive nationally.”
