MEMBERS of the Royal Air Force dropped into a Latchford high school as part of its work in the community.

The air force donates kit and equipment to schools, colleges and universities in the north west and donated a new rugby kit to pupils at Cardinal Newman High School.

Flight Lt Ed Stephens said choosing the school for the gift was an easy decision.

He added: “We work with various schools and Newman was nominated. A number of pupils have joined the RAF so as well as being good publicity for us, it is good for the school.”
