FLOOD waters are continuing to rise across town following more than 24 hours of heavy rain.

Warnings are in place across large parts of Dallam and Orford.

And Sankey Brook is very flooded as well.

This picture of the Royal Mail depot in Dallam also shows the damage done by the rain.

A spokesman for the Royal Mail says while there is flooding in the car park, it is not affecting operations at the moment.

In Tomlinson Street in Orford, council vans have been out and about to suck up the excess water.

The Environment Agency meanwhile says a further 20mm of rain is expected in the next 24 hours with 40mm due to fall in some places.
