Siblings jailed over attack on pair at Warrington Town FC Sports and Social Club

A BROTHER and sister have been condemned by a judge for calling in their dad after attacking a bar manager and her partner.

Carrie and Connor Taylor, aged 25 and 19, were jailed after becoming embroiled in a row with Paul Croft and Angela Wilcox at Warrington Town FC Sports and Social Club at 1am on November 20.

After launching their first assault the pair left and phoned their dad Colin who turned up with son Joshua and the family hit and kicked Mr Croft, the court heard.

Sentencing them last Wednesday at Warrington Crown Court, Judge David Hale said: “You shouted and he shouted back and that lit the blue touch paper. You, Connor, come storming in, he has to hold you against the bar to calm you down. Then you go off threatening to get your dad like some little boy.”

Carrie turned on Miss Wilcox, punching her and tried to gouge her eye.

The siblings left and called their dad Colin to say they had been attacked.

Colin, aged 46 and his son Joshua, aged 23, arrived from the family home on Archer Avenue, Latchford, and the gang pulled Mr Croft to the ground and started to kick and hit him, the court heard.

The assault ended when Miss Wilcox lay on top of Mr Croft to stop them.

Mr Croft had his thumb broken in the attack and Miss Wilcox suffered an injury to her eye.

The court heard how Carrie of Simkin Avenue, Westy, had a previous conviction for actual bodily harm for which she was given a suspended sentence, three months before this attack.

Barristers defending the four family members said they had been affected by drink, Connor and Carrie were also taking steps to tackle their alcohol use and all were remorseful of their actions.

Carrie was given an eight-month sentence for the attack on Miss Wilcox, three months to run concurrently for her part in the gang attack on Mr Croft and a six-week sentence to run consecutively for the suspended sentence.

Connor will face eight months in a young offenders’ institute.

Colin was given an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and ordered to do 160 hours’ community service.

Joshua was handed a community order, told to do 120 hours’ unpaid work and pay £300 costs.

All four were given a two-year exclusion order for the Warrington Town FC Sports and Social Club.

Scum of the Earth. If there was ever a justification for Eugenics, families like this are a prime example. They should be prevented from producing any off spring and further advancing their defective gene pool.
