AN Orford youngster swapped the classroom for a money-can’t-buy experience with Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave.

Lloyd Horne enjoyed a lesson with the five-time gold medallist at the scene of many of Team GB’s greatest moments at the Olympic and Paralympic Games – Eton Dorney.

The St Margaret’s CE Primary School, Orford, pupil won the prize after beating thousands of other children to be crowned Britain’s Official Top Trumps champion after competing in a final of an Olympic Top Trumps game overlooking the Olympic Park.

He said: “I can’t believe I have just been rowing with an Olympic legend. It was an amazing day – one I will never forget.”

The 10-year-old was joined by four other competition winners who had picked up a golden ticket to take part in the training.
