Seventy-two-year-old man arrested and released on bail

A 77-YEAR-OLD man has died after police were called to a ‘dispute’ in Bewsey yesterday.

Police were called to the address in Lodge Lane at 4.19pm on Monday.

They had been alerted to a heated argument at the property.

The pensioner, who has not been named, became ill and was taken to Warrington Hospital where he died.

Police were unable to confirm any details of how he died.

A post mortem is due to take place tomorrow.

A 72-year-old man was arrested at the scene before later being released on bail.

The investigation is ongoing.
