STAFF at McDonald’s restaurants dished up a Mcflurry of cash to St Rocco’s Hospice.

The six branches of the fast food chain across the borough teamed up for a series of fundraising events to raise more than £6,000 for the Lockton Lane hospice in Bewsey.

More than 50 staff took part in fun runs, quiz nights, cake sales and even a sponsored head shave.

St Rocco’s very own mascot also got in on the act to support the fundraising efforts by encouraging customers using the Drive Thru to give loose change.

Franchisee of the six McDonald’s in Warrington, Dave Shaw said: “The teams have really excelled themselves this year in their fundraising efforts.

"The enthusiasm that my team and our customers continue to show for St Rocco’s Hospice is outstanding and makes me very proud. St Rocco’s is an incredible local charity and we’re delighted to be able to support them once again.”
