STAFF from a Warrington gym have been helping raise cash for a cyclist’s fundraising trip to India.

Instructors at Pure Gym, based at Winwick Quay, have been collecting money to help Ann Gilbert travel to India for a 360km trip in October in aid of three cancer charities.

The grandma, from Newton, turns 60 next year and has already completed the Inca Trail and the Paris to London bike ride.

She is taking part in extra spinning classes and bike rides to make sure she is fit for the challenge.

“I started doing them after my boss from Ceva Logistics in Birchwood died from breast cancer. I am really looking forward to it, but it will be a tough challenge.”

You can sponsor her at justgiving.com/grannyannie.
