Highways Agency starts work on the M6/M62 link road in Croft

MOTORISTS will face diversions as work gets under way to improve the link road from the M6 onto the westbound M62 at the Croft Interchange.

The £750,000 Highways Agency scheme is due to start on Monday September, 24 and will be taking place overnight with the road closed overnight on 10 occasions on each link road.

The work includes tackling potholes as well as installing new safety barriers and will be done between 10pm and 5am most nights but with an extension to 7am at weekends.

While the work is taking place 50mph speed limits will also be in place along the link roads and their approaches along the M6.

Diversions will also be in place during the road closures.
