Jail for car park drug dealer

Warrington Crown Court Warrington Crown Court

A MAN who was caught out trying to sell drugs in a supermarket car park has been sent to prison.

Craig Spence, aged 28, of Armour Avenue, Longford, was spotted by police in Sainsbury’s car park after spotting two men waiting suspiciously outside the Church Street store on July 19 at 9.40am.

One of the men sat down in the car and as the officers walked up found three £10 notes laid out and three bags of a substance.

During a search of the car officers found 38 deals of heroin and 31 of crack cocaine with a street cost of £690.

Warrington Crown Court heard on Monday how spence had felt coerced into selling drugs and had been assaulted before when he had tried to stop.

Sentencing him to 32 months in prison Judge David Hale said: “You were doing it day by day in significant quantities. You knew the risk of getting caught.”
