Runners complete half marathon
THOUSANDS of runners hit the streets of south Warrington on Sunday.
The fourth annual Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon took centre stage with runners braving warm temperatures for the race.
As well as the competitive racers, there was a large number of charity runners who took part.
Leaving Victoria Park at 9am, the athletes completed the 13.1mile course which takes in Grappenhall, Appleton and Appleton Thorn before returning to finish in the athletics arena.
