Warrington Wolves players pose naked for charity calendar

WARRINGTON Wolves players have stripped off for a charity calendar.

Stars including Chris Hill, Micky Higham, Tyrone McCarthy , Paul Wood and Stefan Ratchford posed in the buff to raise cash and awareness for The Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK.

Burtonwood dad Andy Stevenson helped set up the charity after his 12-year-old daughter Beth was diagnosed with the childhood neurological condition which has no cure or treatment and causes severe physical and learning difficulties.

Ambassadors of the cause Lee Briers , Gareth O’Brien and Adrian Morley said they were delighted to help after the 2013 calendar sold more than 500 copies before Sunday’s game.

Andy said: “The pictures were taken in ex-player Mark Hilton’s garden and it was fantastic that all the players helped us in our search for a cure, we cannot thank them all enough.”

The ‘Natural Wire’ calendars are on sale in the club shop at the stadium, available to buy in the concourses at the first home play-off game and via reverserett.org.uk /natural-wire-calendar.
