A GROUP of young people swam non-stop for two hours to help raise money for mental health charity Mind. The youngsters and staff from the Fairhaven Unit, on Birch Road, Orford, completed the event at Woolson Leisure Centre on Friday. “This is the first time our young people have organised and hosted their own charitable event and we are extremely proud of their efforts,” said Rob Keegan, activities co-ordinator at Fairhaven, a mental health assessment and treatment centre, run by 5 Boroughs Partnership Trust. “They wanted to give something back to their local community and chose Mind as their beneficiary in recognition of their ongoing efforts to support people with mental ill-health.” If you want to sponsore the youngsters email your name and the amount to Robert.keegan@5bp.nhs.uk.
