Golden Square Shopping Centre hosts Smile Awards

SHOPPERS will get their chance to pick out the best of the best from the Golden Square’s shopping outlets and eateries.

The ‘Smile Retailer of the Year Awards’ will see more than 120 stores go head-to-head to impress voters in a customer satisfaction poll.

Customers will vote for the stores they believe have gone the extra mile during their visit by voting using forms which are available at the customer service desk in the Mall.

Ian Cox, general manager said the awards will help raise standards.

He added: “Shoppers are more savvy than ever before and these awards will help encourage more retailers to offer the best possible shopping experience across the board.”

Customers who vote will also get the chance to play an integral part in the second stage of the awards as Golden Square is creating a ‘Shopper Jury’.

Twelve shoppers from across Warrington will be chosen over the coming weeks to undertake mystery shops of the finalists before a winner is chosen.

Following the awards, Golden Square Shopping Centre will launch a ‘Retail Academy’ which will offer free training from top industry professionals to help improve the retail offering even further. The academy will also be opened to retailers across Warrington to help give them access to advice and support.

Voting closes on September 30 and a shortlist will be announced on October 7.
