COUSINS Sophia Weston and Kayleigh Hands were prepared for an ear bashing at last Saturday's Wembley cup final from their nana.

Bettie Ritchie, aged 68, a Warrington Wolves supporter since she was young, admitted that she gets carried away and was looking forward to her first cup final appearance since the 1975 defeat to Wembley.

“I wasn’t well for the past two finals,” said Bettie, from Longbarn.

“These days I usually watch on TV and shout at the television ‘Get off him!’ The girls tell me to shush.”

It sounded like Sophia, aged 10, and Kayleigh, aged 12, also from Longbarn, knew what was coming during the game after their 6am departure from Warrington on Saturday.

“She shouts at the soaps too when they’re on TV,” said Sophia.
