SUNDAY marks the one-year anniversary of the death of former Poulton North councillor Colin Oliver.

A memorial will take place at Fearnhead Cross Community Centre, Insall Road, Fearnhead from 4pm.

Guests can take part in a walk to Clr Oliver’s grave at Christ Church, Station Road, Padgate.

Refreshments will then be available back at the community centre.

Dougie Ashbrook, who has organised the event, said Clr Oliver’s family, including wife Chris, will be attending.

The popular politician died suddenly of a heart attack at home in Canada Close, Fearnhead on September 2, 2011.

He was 55.
