Creamfields refund announcement due today

A muddy Creamfields A muddy Creamfields

THOUSANDS of festival goers are demanding their money back after being forced to make emergency travel arrangements to leave Creamfields.

Revellers woke in camp sites on Sunday morning with rumours rife that headline acts had been cancelled.

But no announcement was made until and people were left searching for information on social media websites.

And when the news was finally confirmed on the Creamfields website at around 1pm, tents were abandoned as people made for the exits.

The cancelled Daresbury event has lead to a backlash online, with organisation fiercely criticised and people calling for refunds.

Organisers said that the cancellation was not relayed to campers initially as there were concerns over a mass exodus from the site.

On Tuesday they said that an announcement on any refunds will be made in the next 24 hours.

Not sure why my comment about sewage being present in the ground has been removed.

Everyone in Daresbury and Hatton has had to put up with the stench for most of the year.

Old-codger, I meant the fact that the farmer who farms the fields has been pumping human excrement in to the ground for months and months (apparently they get paid to get rid of it) and this will have all been brought to the surface with this rain!

The landowner and Creamfields should not have allowed people to camp on this contaminated land.
