Dog rescued from Mersey after getting trapped in Howley

A UNLUCKY canine had to be rescued from the Mersey after he became trapped near Howley Lane.
Firefighters used the rescue boat to reach the dog which was stuck on the bank on Sunday at 4.55pm.
