E-fit of post office mugger released

An e-fit of the suspect An e-fit of the suspect

POLICE have released an e-fit of a mugger wanted for attacking a man when he went to pay money into a post office in Fearnhead.

The 36-year-old victim was taking cash to the post office on Hilden Road when he was pushed from behind to the floor.

His attacker then grabbed the money he had been carrying in a white carrier bag and fled, say police.

The incident took place on Tuesday, July 10 at around 3.30pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

The mugger is described as white, around 6ft 2ins tall of thin build and scruffy appearance.

He had short hair with a thick brown beard and wore a light grey or white top.

Anyone with information can call police on 101.

I think saying someone has a 'scruffy appearance' is discriminatory.

Carrying money in a white carrier bag? It was either loads of coins or a ridiculous amount of cash i don't get why anyone would put it in a carrier bag anyway sounds a bit fishy to me cause if the person attacked him from behind by pushing him down how would he see his face? I just hope it wasn't another scum bag attacking an elderly person for a load of 2ps cause they knew he was an easy target.........

Sorry just noticed the victim was 36 so sounds even more fishy now and i'd be interested to know if the victim was unemployed and applied for a crisis loan as a result of this cause there's no reason for a 36 year old to put money in a carrier bag instead of a bag in their pocket very very strange

It looks like he was mugged by Gary Barlow . Apparently when he was pushed the attacker said ' take that'

How does being questionable about dubious circumstances in how a crime was "allegedly" committed make my life very very boring? Maybe your life is very very very boring for taking the time to reply to my comment with such a ridiculous statement?.......

Is this town so filled with stepford-wife type automatons that fact the VICTIM carried cash in a carrier bag is more important, to some, than the fact he was the victim of a violent crime.

Are the lives of those people so regulated by their conventionality and desire to fit in to social norms that they cannot conceive of somone not fitting in with their petty, restricted idea of normal behaviour.

Are some so quick to judge VICTIMS that they even try to find reasons to judge them - even by speculating as to their employment status?

The fact that you see fit to prejudge this incident with nothing more than your own bizarre suspicion makes your statement far more ridiculous on any other on this thread.

Lol i don't actually take notice of who's written what, it's pretty freaky that you're searching for item's I've commented on with solutions to problems rather than sweeping it under the carpet. My Wife actually finds your stalking behaviour funny although slightly freaky, maybe you should get out more eh? Plus we don't live in America so learn how to spell paedophile's properly cause you're just showing you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Maybe you should stick to playing with your crayons until you learn how to spell properly poppet?

And if you wrote properly what i was on about i was talking about medication i had when i had cancer and it's side effects so i don't know why you're trying to turn that into a comical comment like you've attempted cause i certainly don't find cancer fun and neither does anyone i know. In fact anyone that does attempt to turn it into something comical clearly has something wrong in their head. I don't know what kicks you get from making prescribed medication sound like i was saying i was taking prescribed drugs. As for paedophile's if you read what i put again i said give them Fentanyl which is a cancer drug and it'll remove every sexual urge they have so can you please explain why you think that's such a problem? Maybe you're a paedophile yourself and that's why you're so concerned cause can't think of any other reason why you'd mock myself having cancer and dealing with it for a decade and the side effects of medication which you've tried to insinute are "drugs" as in the illegal kind. For you information Fentanyl is a class A drug to possess without a prescription under the control of drugs act. If you're not what I've said about obviously you're a bit simple instead if you find it funny so maybe it is best to stick playing with your crayons eh?

Hi, i was reading the guardian and happen to notice that you're comments are all nearly all of them. You are full of crap on all of them, Every working day i see people on allsorts of medication, and what you say about the side effects are just the tip of the iceberg, People can get addicted to controlled drugs, fentanyl being one of them very quickly and sometimes it takes years not months to get off them, I would not wish that on anyone,And quite honestly evil thinkers are evil doers, Hey it was you that brought up all your personal problems in the first place .. not me. Also it was you that mentioned paedophiles in some random news that had nothing to do with the story in the first place.
Please dont waste my time and try to stick to the news story, And on my last serious note i've had ovarian and bowl cancer and i dont think its anything to laugh about, but i dont go on to tell all the readers all my personal details.... unlike yourself. If you don't like it, don't dish it out. Poppet.!!!

Why say i talk about "drugs i take" without putting the rest of the story? Most people reading that would think i was taking heroin or something? Like i said yet again medication while i was ill so why try to make it something different? Personally i wouldn't have no issue with paedophile's being forced to take Fentanyl and getting addicted so they not longer have no drive to go for kids anymore. You're making yourself sound like more and more of a paedophile for objecting to a fairly harmless way to keep our children protected. As for the comment to the story i can't remember what it was but while you're my number 1 stalker that hunts high and low for comments I've made please advise me. Don't care what you say in my opinion paedophile's don't afford to live but unfortunately we can't execute them and and up with huntley, brady etc so do find that when a harmless way to deal with them is brought up you fly off the handle, hmmm suspicious. If you've had cancer yourself why do you mock it when people talk about it and try to make them look like drug addicts? In fact put the link up to the story you were commenting on so people can see i wasn't on about "taking drugs" and not prescribed medication and that you were well aware of how ill i was, i didn't directly mention cancer but from the medications i was prescribed if you truely were a cancer sufferer you'd know about the medications and the side effects and really not try to make yourself look funny when in reality it makes you look like a loser

However i do remember 1 story where sickandtired2 which after all is whose band wagon you're jumping on stated all paedos should be sterilized which face is is never going to happen but a drug like Fentanyl to dampen down their disgusting behaviour is more likely. Oh congratulations on spelling paedophile correctly although i'm an suprised you couldn't the first time? Maybe you're on the run from America and that's why you're making Americanisations anyway here have a star for getting it right ha ha ha *

Thanks for that, lol. hey and i'm certainly not a paedoplile.Ifully agree with your thoughts on sterilizing them even castrating them too.The reason i was so angry with you is because you speak about putting people on these controlled drugs. it's horrible to see these some of the side effects of the people that have taken them in the past. But like myself you would know that.

I don't care what other side effects paedos have for all i care their hands and feet could fall off. The point being is there's no way the court of human rights would allow castration but there is a drug what will put them totally off sex full stop and won't get them high like other opiate drugs. You angered me by your comment i was talking about taking drugs which 99% of the population would take that as meaning the illegal kind. If you put the full context of the statement 99% of people would prob agree but instead you tried to make me sound as bad as you could by cherry picking some parts and fabricating others? I still don't get why as you basically said you'd been looking round for stuff i'd commented on for some reason? I actually found it pretty concerning

Getting back to the story...why no further info or Crimewatch type update, its been a week since reported?
