Warrington Wolves take on Bradford Bulls on Sunday Warrington Wolves take on Bradford Bulls on Sunday

HOSPITAL staff will be encouraging Warrington Wolves fans to check their pulse before the match with Bradford Bulls on Sunday as part of a Stroke Association initiative.

The team hope to raise awareness of the importance of checking blood pressure and pulse rates in the fight to save lives from strokes.

Jane Guy, family carer and support at Warrington’s branch of the Stroke Association, said: "For every ten people who die of stroke, four could have been saved if they had arranged regular blood pressure measurements and then followed medical advice.

“It is vitally important that people make an appointment with their GP practice to have their blood pressure measured regularly.”

Staff will be advising fans on how to check your pulse as well as doing free blood pressure and pulse checks.
