A MAN charged with the murder of his wife found in his car boot has been remanded in custody.

John Yates, aged 57, of Derby Drive, Bruche made a brief appearance at Mold Crown Court, this afternoon, when the case against him was adjourned.

Yates is charged with murdering his wife Barbara, aged 49..

It is alleged that her body was found in the boot of a car outside a police building at St Asaph on Wednesday, Mr Justice Wood said he would next appear on Friday, September 28.

Prosecuting barrister Kim Halsall said Yates had attended at a police station with the body of the deceased inside his motor vehicle.

She said that the police investigation was ongoing.

Michael Davies, defending, did not apply for bail and Yates spoke only to confirm his name.
