MURDER latest: Warrington man being questioned over wife's death in North Wales

NORTH Wales Police has confirmed a 57-year-old Warrington man being questioned over the death of his wife.

The man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at St Asaph after attending a police station on the St Asaph Business Park on Wednesday evening.

The body of a 49-year-old woman was discovered in the boot of a car outside the building.

A post mortem carried out by a Home Office pathologist in Liverpool yesterday revealed that the victim sustained multiple injuries.

The family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers of Cheshire Police.

A joint investigation is being carried out by North Wales Police and Cheshire Police.

Four locations in the Warrington area, including one in Appleton and another at Derby Drive in Bruche, have been searched and examined as part of the investigation .
