Band hit stage at Warrington Music Festival Band hit stage at Warrington Music Festival

DOZENS of bands hit stages across the town centre last Saturday for the annual Warrington Music Festival.

The cream of musical talent in the town gathered on three stages at Queen’s Gardens and the old Fish Market in Golden Square.

The musicians hit the stage between noon and 11pm.

Headlining the Golden Square stage were Drop Science while the Queen’s Gardens stage was topped by Conquer Rio – a band of Birchwood High students who have already won a number of top awards.

Meanwhile fans of the festival, staged for the sixth time, can enjoy highlights with a new CD.

The team from Ameritz production company in Wilderspool Causeway have put together a Best of the Fest CD with the top moments from the weekend.

And music lovers have plenty more to look forward to this summer.

Indie rock band the Cribs will headline a music festival at Friars Court in the town centre on Saturday, July 28.
