TODAY the Warrington Guardian has teamed up with Warrington Market to offer one amazing prize – the chance to own a market stall for a year.

We want to hear from budding entrepreneurs who fancy running their own stall in the popular market for a year – rent free.

So whether you have a unique idea or a variation on a theme, we want to hear your ideas about how the stall will operate and your plans for the year ahead in our Gap in the Market contest.

Entries are open for a month before we draw up a shortlist and members of the public will be able to decide who should win in a text vote.

The competition ties in with the It’s All Going On campaign, to promote everything exciting and entertaining on offer in the town centre.

Warrington Guardian group editor Nicola Priest said the prize was an outstanding opportunity for budding business stars.

She added: “Warrington Market has a unique history and is really thriving at the moment.

“To have a stall rent free for a year will be the perfect opportunity for our winner.

“With the current economic situation, everyone needs a helping hand to get through it.

“The market is already a vibrant place with lots of exciting events – such as last Saturday’s classic car show – and there’s plenty more to come.

“This time next year the Bridge Street redevelopment and new market plans will be even closer to reality so it is an exciting time for us and the market to strike up a partnership.”

Entries for the competition are open from today, Thursday.
