President of Warrington Rotary Club has died
THE president of Warrington Rotary Club has died suddenly aged 64.
Jim Melville, from Stockton Heath, has held a number of posts within the club during the past 14 years. He died last Monday, June 4.
A dedicated charity fundraiser, on his appointment as president of the club he said that he intended to continue to embrace the Rotary International motto of Service Above Self.
During his year in office, which began last July, the club has supported local, regional and international charities, including Active Hope, Life Education, St. Joseph's Family Centre, and the international charity Raising the Roof For Ghana - Building a Village Resource Centre.
He leaves wife Sue and children David and Julie
