Lymm doorman charged following attack on St Helens star Sia Soliola

A LYMM doorman is one of three to be charged following an attack on St Helens player Sia Soliola.

Lee Simpson, aged 24, of Newarth Drive, Lymm has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm following the incident outside a bar in St Helens town centre in March.

Police have also charged Christopher Rose, aged 33, from Speke and Keiran Waters, aged 25, from Chester, with section 20 grievous bodily harm.

The 25-year-old Kiwi international suffered facial injuries following the incident.

They are also charged with a section 39 assault on another man.

All three men have been bailed to appear at St Helens Magistrates' Court, sitting in Knowsley, on Wednesday, June 13.
