POLICE have issued CCTV images following an attack in Fearnhead.

The incident took place on Wednesday, May 2 at around 11.30am outside the Co-Op Store in Insall Road.

A 16-year-old was waiting to use the cash machine. A man was stood in front of him and, as he turned round, he bumped into the victim.

The man spoke to the victim and without warning punched him in the face before walking off.

A short time later the man returned and apologised to the victim before walking off again.

The victim attended Warrington Hospital and suffered bruising.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in, aged around 30 to 35 with short mousey coloured hair and a pale complexion.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 303 of May 2.
