NHS power move for Warrington clinicians

PLANS to hand over power to clinicians moved a step closer in the town as Warrington Clinical Commissiong Group (CCG) became one of the first in the country to begin the authorisation process.
It is the latest stage in the Government’s plan to give NHS frontline doctors ‘greater freedom and a strong leadership role’.
Dr Andrew Davies, chairman of the CCG, said: “Clinical leadership working with patients has been central to the NHS modernisation plans and has given us a real opportunity to design services that will deliver better quality and stronger results.”
