ITEMS of memorabilia from a Warrington legend was presented to the club on Sunday.

Barbara Bibby, Jack Fish’s granddaughter, presented his England cap to Alex Murphy on behalf of the club.

The cap and other Fish memorabilia, including a South West Lancashire League winner’s medal, will now be on display in the museum at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Before the match, Barbara officially opened the new Jack Fish Corner in the new south east quadrant.

Inside the ground there is a lifesize picture of Jack and a resume of his playing career while outside is a reproduction of a postcard from his playing days.

Jack Fish captained Warrington to victory in the 1907 Challenge Cup final at Broughton.

Sunday also saw the official launch of the first biography about the former Warrington, Lancashire and England winger.

Jack Fish: A Rugby League Superstar is written by former Warrington Guardian reporter Gary Slater and published by London League Publications and is on sale in the club shop priced £11.95.
