A CHARITY match is being held on Sunday by Chester Football Club in memory of seven-year-old fan Ciaran Geddes.

The Locking Stumps Primary School pupil collapsed and died last month of a suspected heart problem while he was playing football.

The club announced comedians John Bishop and Jason Manford will be taking part in the game between the current Chester FC championship winning squad and an 11 made up of players from the 2004 conference championship winning team.

The Ciaran Geddes benefit match will be raising cash for the British Heart Foundation as well as buying defibrillators for Ciaran’s school and under eight Winwick Bears junior team at Winwick Athletic.

Admission is £5 for adults and £1 for children for the 1pm kickoff at the Exacta Stadium.
