STAFF from the stroke ward at Warrington Hospital will be putting their best foot forward during next week’s ‘step out for stroke’ walk.

Volunteers will be enjoying a stroll with stroke survivors and their friends and family around Walton Gardens on Wednesday.

Jacquelyn Berry, from the Stroke Association, said: “The step out walk promises to be lots of fun for friends and family.

“Stroke is the killer disease we’ve ignored for too long in the UK and has a massive and sudden impact affecting people both physically and emotionally.

“We believe in life after stroke and we need everyone’s support to change the lives of people affected.”

The event, which starts at 11am, is for people of all ages and abilities and everyone who takes part will receive a step out t-shirt on the day.
