Walkers get a touch of mink

NATURE lovers should think mink when out exploring Sankey Valley Park.

That is because one of the furry creatures was spotted along the canal side between the railway arches and Bewsey Old Hall.

Chris Thomason, of Belmont Crescent, Great Sankey, took this picture of the mink on March 31.

He said: “The mink was running along the canal in the area between the railway arches and Bewsey Old Hall and was seen by many anglers and walkers. I was lucky it decided to swim across right in front of me.”
