Three men raid Spar

THREE men armed with hammers and a knife raided the Spar in Old Hall on Monday night.

They stormed the shop on Frobisher Court at 8.30pm, all wearing face coverings and two carrying hammers while one had a knife.

They threatened two members of staff, who were inside the shop at the time, and stole cash.

Nobody was injured but the staff were left ‘extremely shaken’ according to police.

The first offender was of stocky build, wearing black bottoms and a white and blue Adidas top.

The second was around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a black and grey tracksuit and white trainers.

The third offender iwore dark clothing and white trainers.

DC Neal Davison said: "Detectives are currently carrying out a number of enquiries in relation to this incident including house-to-house enquiries, CCTV enquiries and any relevant forensic enquiries.”
