UPDATED: Burning car causes Glazebrook Lane road closure

TWO men have been arrested after police found a burning car on its roof on Glazebrook Lane this morning.
Officers were called at 4.10am and arrested the pair on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and drink driving.
There was nobody inside the car but the road has been closed today while the council’s highways team carries out resurfacing work to repair the damage caused by the incident.
A police spokesman said: “The two men were arrested nearby and are currently helping police with their enquiries.”
Glazebrook Lane, between the junctions with the A57 Manchester Road and the old section of Manchester Road southbound is expected to reopen this afternoon.
Buses are being diverted away from Glazebrook village while the closure is in place.
