WARRINGTON’S Contemporary Arts Festival finishes this month – but there is still time to get a piece of the action.

Events are taking place across town with Warrington Museum, Pyramid and the Gallery at Bank Quay House being the main bases for the action.

From cutting edge modern art displays to music and poetry to art and craft workshops, there is something for everyone to try.

Proving popular with the crowds is the Gossip Well Told display at Warrington Museum.

The display, run in partnership with the Moniker group, is the first of its kind to be held outside London and features work from the US, Australia and Germany.

Derek Dick, from the museum, said: “The work here is amazing and includes pieces by Ben Eine, a UK graffiti artist whose work was recently purchased by David Cameron as a gift for Barack Obama.”

Meanwhile a teepee has been attracting visitors to Pyramid.

The structure hit the headlines in Liverpool when it was sited at the bombed-out church in the city centre. It allows visitors to write a message and hang it from the roof – it can be on any topic and carry any emotion.
