A WARRINGTON man will appear in court this morning charged with inciting public disorder.

The 22-year-old was charged overnight and will appear at Halton Magistrates Court along with a 24-year-old from Runcorn.

They were arrested on Monday after posting messages on Facebook aimed at started riots in the wake of the unrest elsewhere in the country.

Police have again reported a quiet night with no incidents of significant disorder.

A spokesman said: "Cheshire Police are continuing to thank the communities of Cheshire for the support offered and the information put forward. "The arrests follow a robust approach by Cheshire Police to any individuals suspected of promoting criminality via social networking sites. "As part of the approach a number of young people have received police advice in the presence of their parents around postings on their social networking sites, or messages forwarded onwards via social media."
