THE Walton Lea Project’s mobile shop is back on the road today, Thursday.

Fruit, vegetables, plants and local produce, which have been planted and grown by people with learning difficulties who are supported by the charity, will be sold around south Warrington each Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesdays it will call at Algernon Street, Stockton Heath at 12.15pm, 1.30pm to 1.45pm at Appleton Thorn Village Hall car park, at Lumb Brook Road, Wrights Green, near the bus shelter, from 1.50pm until 2pm, Dudlows Green Road from 2.10pm until 2.30pm and on Red Lane, Appleton, from 2.35pm until 2.45pm.

On Thursdays, the shop will be at Weybridge Close, Appleton, from 11.30am until 11.40am and at St John the Evangelist’s Church, in Walton, from 11.45am until 12pm.

The charity has suffered a series of financial blows recently after water pipes burst at its base on Chester Road, Higher Walton, during the December cold snap.
