THE legal adviser of a Down’s Syndrome girl allegedly raped by a paedophile ring has accused police of illegally breaking into his home.

Appleton man Robert Green is now calling for officers who searched his house in February to be arrested as a warrant has never been produced for that search.

He said: “Circumstances suggest something very serious has gone wrong otherwise I would have had a reply by now. The law has been broken as a warrant has never been produced for the search on my property.”

Mr Green, aged 63, was arrested in February on a breach of the peace charge relating to his campaign standing as a candidate in the General Election in Scotland.

He did so on behalf of Hollie Greig, a Down’s girl allegedly abused in Aberdeen by perverts over a 10 year period, but was arrested for handing out campaign leaflets.

His Birchdale Road property was subsequently raided by Grampian police officers who have yet to produce a valid warrant explaining why a search was necessary.

MP David Mowat has also written to the Grampian force demanding an answer and he is currently ‘in communication’ with them to establish why a low key breach of the peace charge constituted an instant house raid.

And now the situation has escalated with Mr Green calling for the officers in question to be arrested. He said: I first asked for the warrant in March and have yet to receive a response.

“I think it not unreasonable to assume that a serious crime has been committed by Grampian police. If there was a valid warrant it would have come back straight away and this could be dealt within 24 hours.

“I have asked for the policemen involved to be arrested and my belongings returned.

“Police officers should be subject to the same laws as everybody else.”

A spokesman for the Grampian Police said: “We cannot comment on active proceedings.”
